Atlanta Braves score 29 runs – 1 run shy of MLB record

Last night, the Atlanta Braves came within one run of tying the modern MLB scoring record set by Texas.

The Braves pounded 23 hits, 11 of them being via the home-run ball.

The obliteration was orchestrated by Adam Duvall, who had 3 HR’s and 9 RBI’s, Freddie Freeman, who had 1 HR and 6 RBI’s, and Ronald Acuna Jr., who has 1 HR and 3 RBI’s.

Atlanta had been shutout the previous night by Miami, so Brian Snitker must have administered some of Michael’s Secret Stuff to his players before the game (which allowed the Looney Tunes to overtake the MonStars). Even if Duvall is on the juice, fantasy managers won’t be complaining, as they get to keep his stats for the week.

Atlanta visits Washington tonight for the first of a 4 game series.
