Iga Swiatek defeated 4th seed Sofia Kenin 6-4 6-1 earlier today to capture her first French Open title.
Iga is the first Polish player to win a Grand Slam singles championship.
Having not dropped a set the entire tournament, Iga thoroughly outclassed Kenin, who had no answer for her powerful groundstrokes and razor sharp backhand.
Iga travels with a sports psychologist and was seen meditating during changeovers, more evidence that this game is as mental as it is skillful.
