Released a few hours ago, Liveprool FC announced on their Twitter that star player Sadio Mane had tested positive for COVID 19.
Mane joins fellow teammate Thiago, Liverpool’s marquee signing this summer, who also tested positive earlier this week.
“I’ve been tested positive but I am feeling good and not showing heavy symptoms,” Mane wrote on Instagram on Friday. “I will begin my quarantine and recovery process immediately.”
Liverpool described Mane’s symptoms as “minor” and said he “feels in good health overall.”
Liverpool travel to Villa Park this weekend to take on Aston Villa Sunday.
